Karen Cureton, ND, LAc

Dr. Karen Cureton is a board certified Naturopathic physician and Acupuncturist with a passion for helping people achieve optimal health, no matter what condition they find themselves in. Dr. Cureton is well versed in both preventative health care and treatment of complex chronic disease.  However, her passion is treating those with complex, chronic conditions involving chronic infections, environmental, heavy metal, and other toxicities, immune system imbalance, hormone imbalance, and a myriad of other issues creating symptoms throughout many body systems.

Dr. Cureton’s path to this profession began in college when she found herself suddenly beset with disabling symptoms that hindered her ability to enjoy her life. After exploring the conventional medical model, and finding little help there, Dr. Cureton was lucky enough to find a naturopathic physician to help her regain her health. After working with a naturopath to reinstate her previous state of wellness, and trying nearly every integrative treatment modality, she has discovered the most effective therapies to aid others along their healing journeys. This journey to health using the power of functional medicine and ancient healing techniques has given her both the tools and passion for helping others overcome whatever obstacles may stand between them and true vitality.

Through careful history taking, thorough physical exam, cutting-edge laboratory testing, and ancient Chinese diagnostic methods, Dr. Cureton determines the root of health issues and best methods to promote healing. She utilizes a variety of treatment methods including clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathic remedies, biotherapeutic drainage, flower essences, acupuncture, energetic bodywork, lifestyle counseling, low dose immunotherapy/low dose antigen therapy, biopuncture, perineural injection therapy, neural therapy injections, compounded medicines, and pharmaceuticals.

Chronic fatigue, acute and chronic pain, allergies, food intolerances, chronic viral, parasitic, and bacterial infections, environmental toxicity including biotoxin illness, glyphosate, and heavy metal toxicity, autoimmunity, gastrointestinal issues, and hormone imbalances.
